The full index is a public catalog of EDGAR filings. Each quarter has one
master.idx file. After a header, each line gives the CIK, company name, form
type, filing date, and submission path. A count of the form-type column across
the four quarters gives the filings of each type received during the year.
An annual-report count must include the applicable form family. Domestic
registrants file Form 10-K. The index also contains the former Forms 10-K405
and 10-KSB and the transition report on Form 10-KT. An amended form has an
/A suffix. Foreign private issuers file Form 20-F, while eligible Canadian
issuers use Form 40-F.
The derived table edgar-annual-report-forms-by-year.csv gives each family by
year. Its adjacent provenance file records the inputs, method, limits, and
file digest.
