Instructional scope

This record supports an ACC 301 sequence from the instrument and share-register boundary through common and preferred issuance, multiple-security allocation, treasury-share holding and retirement, cash and noncash distributions, stock dividends and splits, restrictions, component rollforwards, presentation, and disclosure.

Standards clock

ASU 2026-01 is issued but not generally effective as of the version date. It becomes effective for annual periods beginning after December 15, 2026, including interim periods, unless early adopted. Its stated-rate initial- measurement requirement for in-scope PIK preferred dividends remains in a separate pending lane and does not change recognition timing.

Limitations

The record does not establish corporate-law validity, lawful distribution capacity, charter rights, instrument classification under Topics 480 or 815, SEC temporary-equity presentation, fair value, board authority, or missing original-issue facts.
