What we will do in class

  • Connect the securities laws to annual and interim reports, foreign filer forms, and the pending semiannual-reporting proposal.
  • Distinguish gross accounts receivable, its allowance, and the reported net balance.
  • Follow a worked search from the financial statements to the related notes.
  • Find a different receivables disclosure and interpret its entity, date, units, and balance-sheet context.
  • Interpret draft descriptions using the relevant filing information and explain what remains unknown.
  • Review a tool response or the supplied teaching draft, then explain any revision.
  • Complete an individual filing check, with an optional adjusting-entry review afterward.

Interpret a tool response using the filing

Plan your own request about the public report. Use a tool and retain its response, or work from the supplied teaching draft. Use the original filing to explain which context affects the interpretation, correct factual errors, and identify information the filing does not provide.

Nothing here is graded and no iClicker question is asked during it. See all AI activities.
