Artificial intelligence in ACC 300

Use of AI is optional; disclosure is not.

Current course rules

  1. Exams: Do not use generative AI.
  2. Unit reviews and company analyses: AI use is optional. State No AI used. or name the tool and state briefly what it contributed. A prompt transcript is not required.
  3. Ungraded activities: You may use the demonstrated tool or review output supplied in class. Direct AI use is not required.
  4. Your responsibility: You are responsible for every fact, number, source, accounting treatment, and conclusion that you submit.

These rules let you practice working with current tools without making tool use a course requirement. They also preserve closed assessments that show what you can do yourself.

See the course syllabus for the full policy by assignment type.
